The East CAC will hold its first meeting of the year on Monday, January 25th at 7PM at Lions Park Community Center, 516 Dennis Avenue. This is a week after our normal meeting date as the third Monday is the Martin Luther King holiday.
On the agenda is a report from our Lions and Lockwood playground redesign committee. We’ll also hear from David Thompson, the city’s Residential Traffic Safety Engineer, about traffic calming measures that neighborhoods can pursue. We’ll vote again on Z-18-09, the Poole Road and Norwood convenience store. We’ll also hear from the Salvation Army on their proposed “Center of Hope” shelter on Capital near Crabtree, SP-71-09.
In addition, Mr. Thompson can address address sidewalk questions during his presentation. Also, Parks staff will discuss upgrades now taking place at nearby Oakwood Park.
Hope to see you January 25th!
